We will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, then fly to start the 2-day Luxor & Aswan trip from Cairo. Upon arrival at Luxor airport, your private Egyptologist guide will accompany you to visit Luxor’s top attractions, including: Valley of the Kings The cosmic Valley of the Kings was hidden in the deep golden hills resembling the mythical ben-ben where the world was created. The 63 tombs showcase the blessed heritage of the great kings, queens, and nobles such as Ramses II, Seti I, Tutankhamen, Hatshepsut, and more; serving as their final resting place during the New Kingdom (1570 – 1050 BC). The valley is a source of important archaeological and Egyptological discoveries. Temple of Hatshepsut The most illuminating architectural masterpiece in Egypt’s history, the Temple of Hatshepsut is known as the Holy of Holies, featuring three huge terraces carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, dedicated to the worship of Amun-Ra. Built in 1479 BCE during her reign (1479–1458 BCE), it preserves her life story and immortalizes her achievements. Colossi of Memnon The grand Colossi of Memnon, the golden guardian of Luxor, has stood the test of time since its construction by Pharaoh Amenhotep III (1386–1353 BCE). Rebuilt several times, it reveals significant details about Amenhotep III’s family and dedications to the Nile God Hapy. Lunch Time Lunch will be served at an oriental Nile-view restaurant, followed by a visit to: Karnak Temple The cosmic Karnak Temple Complex is Egypt’s second most visited archaeological site, known as the most divine place built over 2000 years, from the Middle Kingdom to the Ptolemaic era, and served as the religious capital of Thebes. Dedicated to the Theban triad of Mut, Montu, and Amun-Ra, the complex includes the Hypostyle Hall, numerous precincts, the divine Avenue of Sphinxes, and more. Overnight At the end of the day, you will be transferred to the train station to catch your 1st class train to Aswan, where you will be transferred to your 5-star hotel for overnight stay. Meals: Lunch Flight: From Cairo to Luxor Overnight: Aswan Hotel
Early in the morning, after checking out from your hotel and receiving your breakfast boxes, you will be transferred by a private A/C car accompanied by your private tour guide to continue your trip to Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel Temples The golden Abu Simbel Temples have stood at Egypt’s southern border since their construction in 1264 BC. They illuminate the divine heritage of Ozymandias “Ramses The Great,” who won the Battle of Kadesh, culminating in the signing of the first documented peace treaty in history between Egypt and the Hittites in 1274 BC. The temples honor the gods Amun‑Ra, Ra‑Horakhty, and Ptah, along with a divine representation of Ramses II. Lunch Time At the end of your visit, you will be transferred back to Aswan for lunch. Then, catch your flight back to Cairo and transfer to your hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Flight: From Aswan to Cairo
